Adam Sharpe
Adam has a broad public law practice. His areas of practice include administrative law, constitutional law, judicial review applications, planning appeals, regulatory prosecutions, native title, employment law and government contracting.
Adam has significant advocacy experience and has appeared in a variety of courts and tribunals – as sole counsel in the Federal Court, Supreme Court, District Court, Magistrates Court, Administrative Appeals Tribunals, State Administrative Tribunal, Fair Work Commission and Industrial Relations Commission; and as junior counsel in the High Court of Australia, Full Court of the Federal Court of Australia and Western Australian Court of Appeal.
Adam was Counsel Assisting the Perth Casino Royal Commission in 2021-2022. In 2015, he was the Specialist Research Consultant for the Western Australian Parliament’s Joint Select Committee on Aboriginal Constitutional Recognition.
Prior to being called to the Bar, Adam worked at the State Solicitor’s Office, commencing as the Professional Assistant to the Solicitor General of Western Australia. In 2007-2008, Adam undertook postgraduate studies in law at Yale University. In 2008-2009, Adam was an Associate to the Hon Justice Susan Crennan AC of the High Court of Australia.
