Andrew Mason
Andrew practises in commercial and public law.
Prior to joining the bar, Andrew worked as a solicitor at the State Solicitor’s Office for Western Australia, and as a Senior Associate at Herbert Smith Freehills and White & Case.
Andrew’s experience includes acting for corporations, government entities, and individuals in:
- commercial and construction disputes in the energy, infrastructure, mining, and offshore oil and gas sectors;
- various insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings;
- regulatory proceedings for and against various regulators, including the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, the Australian Energy Regulator, and various WHS regulators;
- applications for judicial review and merits review;
- coronial inquests, public inquiries and royal commissions; and
- proceedings in the Fair Work Commission, Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission, the Industrial Magistrates Court of Western Australia, the Federal Circuit and Family Court, and the Federal Court of Australia.
Andrew was listed in Doyle’s Guide for leading Employment & WHS Law Barristers (2025), and leading Planning & Environment Law Barristers (2025).
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Master of Laws (Hons).
