Peter Ward
Peter Ward was a partner of Ashurst Australia (formerly Blake Dawson) before joining Francis Burt Chambers in 2016. He has practised for more than 20 years across a wide variety of commercial and public law disputes, particularly in construction and infrastructure, energy and resources, and government law. His practice includes Admiralty, shipping and trade disputes; and he has extensive experience in Defence material contracting.
At the Bar, Peter practises as counsel and as an arbitrator and mediator. He is recognised by clients both for the quality of his legal advice and his ability to apply his legal knowledge in a practical and commercial context. He is recommended by Doyle's Guide in its list of leading construction law barristers in Western Australia, having been first listed in the Guide’s list of leading construction lawyers in Western Australia in 2015.
