Tim Castle SC
Experienced interstate counsel with a broad commercial practice and specific expertise in banking, corporate, competition, franchising, insolvency and insurance cases. Tim brings particular focus to the financial and regulatory drivers that underpin many commercial disputes, with an accounting major, Executive MBA and senior in-house and regulatory experience.
Typically Tim appears as a senior junior, both at trials and appeals, with or without junior counsel. Tim is a qualified arbitrator, as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), and is also Deputy Chair of the Law Council of Australia’s International Law Section. Some of Tim’s leading cases include the Superleague Dispute, Hungry Jack’s v Burger King, C-7 Dispute acting for Telstra, and recently the Pizza Hut class action litigation for the franchisees.
