Francis Burt Chambers is delighted to welcome four new members

Ben Luscombe accepts briefs across a number of practice areas including arbitration, commercial disputes and corporations law matters. He is recognised as a leading expert in dispute resolution. Ben’s four decades’ experience includes providing strategic advice to global clients, particularly in the energy and resources sectors.

Fiona Lester accepts briefs in criminal, civil and human rights law. She has particular experience in matters under the Criminal Law (Mentally Impaired Accused) Act 1996, the Guardianship and Administration Act 1990 and the Mental Health Act 2014. She has appeared as sole counsel before the Supreme Court, District Court, Magistrates Court, State Administrative Tribunal, Mental Health Tribunal and the Mentally impaired Accused Review Board. Fiona joins Chambers from Ruah Legal Services.

Christopher Terren accepts briefs in both commercial and public law. He has particular experience in corporate and personal insolvency matters, contractual and commercial disputes, and post-determination native title matters. He has appeared as sole counsel in the Supreme Court, District Court, Magistrates Court, Family Court, Warden’s Court and Federal Courts, along with various tribunals. Chris joins Chambers from Roe Legal Services.

Hubert Gawley has experience in Canada and, locally with Holborn, Lenhoff Massey. He practises exclusively in criminal law and has appeared as counsel in the superior courts of both Canada and Western Australia.
