Francis Burt Chambers warmly congratulates Sarah Russell on her appointment as a judge in the District Court of Western Australia.
Her Honour joined Chambers in 2010, having previously practised in commercial litigation at two large Australian law firms and, before that, in England for 10 years.
Judge Russell joins a long line of members of these Chambers appointed to the Bench. Announcing Her Honour’s appointment, Attorney General, the Honourable John Quigley MLA, said “Ms Russell’s experience in commercial and corporate law will add further depth to the significant knowledge base of the District Court.”
Her Honour has been a very active member of both Chambers and the WA Bar Association, and has made a significant contribution to the life of both. Her diligence, hard work and preparation, and her measured, patient and good-humoured approach will make her an asset to the Bench and our best wishes accompany her.
